Switching Home Studio Rooms in Mid Production

So, my wife and I, to lower the rent, are giving up the basement that went along with our 1st floor apartment.  It's a little sad, as it means losing a ping pong table, and it also means the loss of a huuuge recording space.  Fortunately, I'm being allowed to monopolize a guest room, and am gradually setting up all my gear there (PC, guitars, keyboard, etc).  I just finished putting together this desk from Walmart...it's all beginning to feel rather cozy, so I'm psyched.

The biggest challenge:  Finishing the vocals for two tracks which I started recording in the basement.  Will they sound consistent enough, or will vocals recorded in the tiny room sound vastly different from what I've already recorded...?  We'll see.

Has anyone out there dealt with the challenges of recording in tight spaces?  How do you deal?

I use a software-based laptop system and pack up my "studio" each time and put it back into the small closet that holds all my gear and instruments. I once had dedicated studio space but have come to rely mostly on software and headphones. I have had rare opportunities to set up my monitors and it generally just makes me sad.

Sorry to hear to don't get to use a 'studio space' too often these days. Up to now, I was in the same boat. Sonar, Reason, and a pair of headphones to mix it all. However, I recently bought a pair of M-Audio BX5a monitors... Hopefully, they'll help me improve my mixes...I haven't been too happy with what I've put together so far. For some reason, my mp3s are really quiet relative to other music on my iPod. It's a tad frustrating sometimes. Mastering will probably be a necessity at some point... Power to DIY!

i live in iran,we have a lot of problems in recording and i dont know where can i start?
