Since we're on the subject of submitting music for soundtracks, here's another opportunity:

Smooth Motion Films from Western Australia is inviting all bands to submit music for consideration in their motorsport DVD, Motorvation 2006.  Selected bands get credits, website links, a free copy of the DVD, and bragging rights.  (hey, it's all about exposure to australian motorsport fans, people ;) )  All genres of music are accepted, though understandably, rock, alternative, grunge, and metal are preferred (stuff "..you can see cars doing burnouts to..." say the producers).

If you're interested, submit your music by January 31 by sending an mp3 file or a link to an mp3 to music@smoothmotionfilms.com (1 song per email, less than 6mb), or by sending a CD to Smooth Motion Films, PO Box 7369, Cloisters Square, Perth 6850, Australia.
