Audioslave Promotion Needs 1 Million Fans to Unlock Single
On Wednesday, at 6 am EST, Audioslave released Your Time Has Come, a single from their upcoming album, Out Of Exile, through an unique promotion.
Initially, fans were only able to listen to a 30 second clip of the song. The full song would only be 'unlocked' after 1,000,000 visitors had played the clip.
By the time I tried it around 2:00 PM yesterday (Thursday), the full song was already available. Pretty cool. You can play the song here.
A brilliant way to both amplify word-of-mouth advertising and generate press for a new album.
