Black Eyed Peas “I Gotta Feeling” Cover Song Smackdown

It’s time for this week’s COVER SONG SMACKDOWN, this time with the Black Eyed Peas’s “I Gotta Feeling”.

Three indie artists recorded videos of themselves playing pretty cool live (and not so live) covers of the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling”, the #12 single in Billboard this week. (It was actually a challenge sifting through all the Jonas Brothers covers in YouTube to find these…)

Who’s version do you think rocks more? Check ‘em out, vote below, and support a new artist with a little luv — it’s what the Cover Song Smackdown is all about.

Ok, yes, this version is a little less “live” than what I usually post. But it’s pretty solid.

For those of you that want to sing along, here are some of the lyrics to “I Gotta Feeling”:

Black Eyed Peas “I Gotta Feeling” Lyrics

I got a feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good night
that tonight’s gonna be a good night
that tonight’s gonna be a good good night wooh hoo (x4)

Tonight’s the night night
Let’s live it up
I got my money
Let’s spend it up
go out and smash it
like oh my god
Jump off that sofa
Let’s get get up

I know that we’ll have a ball
if we get down and go out and just lose it all

I feel stressed out I wanna let it go
Lets go way out spaced out and losing all control

Well, I like when covers are done differently than the original, so the 1st and 3rd one were great. Not a fan of autotune!

True, I have to agree, autotune isn't great… I let it slide here for David, since it was used in the original, but you're right — funky renditions are much more interesting to see…
