Get Your Music Heard in Movie “Snakes on a Plane”

Snakes on a Plane Song ContestNew Line Cinema and media-community site TagWorld have partnered to launch the Snakes on a Plane Song Contest.  Any band can register with TagWorld and submit their best track for consideration by, well, everyone.  The 25 songs with the most votes will become semi-finalists for the final round of decision-making, which will be conducted by New Line Music executives.

Haven’t you always wanted to hear your song while watching Samuel L. Jackson do battle with venemous snakes on a passenger flight?  Go for it — the deadline for submission is April 19th.

(Thanks, Orchard)

I have mixed feelings about this movie. They’re definitely going over the top to try and promote the campy…well, over-the-top nature of it. While I admire Sam Jackson for his willingness to skewer his own macho image for the sake of comedy, I think that intentionally trying to create a cult hit is a tall order.

In the meantime, there are some very enjoyable homemade promos for this movie out there. For instance:

Ha! Thanks for that link — these clips are classic..!

Hey ,look forward to seeing this! I am going to submit my songs :D

All songs contained on my site are 100% mine. There are some songs as well as commercial jingles. Although they’re rough/amature acapella multi track recordings, they’re great original, fresh melodies.
