Get Your Music Heard in Movie “Snakes on a Plane”
New Line Cinema and media-community site TagWorld have partnered to launch the Snakes on a Plane Song Contest. Any band can register with TagWorld and submit their best track for consideration by, well, everyone. The 25 songs with the most votes will become semi-finalists for the final round of decision-making, which will be conducted by New Line Music executives.
Haven’t you always wanted to hear your song while watching Samuel L. Jackson do battle with venemous snakes on a passenger flight? Go for it — the deadline for submission is April 19th.

I have mixed feelings about this movie. They’re definitely going over the top to try and promote the campy…well, over-the-top nature of it. While I admire Sam Jackson for his willingness to skewer his own macho image for the sake of comedy, I think that intentionally trying to create a cult hit is a tall order.
