Brit Band Hits No. 1 After Creating an Online Fan Base


Here’s an interesting story about the Arctic Monkeys, a British band that built up a huge following of young fans well before signing with a label, by circulating Mp3 files and holding spontaneous gigs.

When the single was finally released, it immediately reached the No. 1 spot. A sold-out tour followed.
