Clear Channel Radio Launches Indie Artist Showcase, NEW!
San Antonio-based Clear Channel Radio launched NEW!, an Internet Web site featuring music of new and developing artists. From what I can tell, all the artists are taken from GarageBand.com.
From the MySA.com:
Every four months, NEW! is to feature 16 artists in various genres, with a homemade video, five songs and a link to the artist’s Web site. Fifty GarageBand.com artists will also have five songs, a photo, a bio and a link to the GarageBand.com site to provide more information.
I’m unclear as to how or if the new site will relate to the Clear Channel New Music Network. It’s good to see more of a push to getting indie music heard, even if a dedicated website is different from increased airplay…
